Derby County’s latest Sky Bet Championship match saw the mighty Rams take on Lilywhites on Saturday, November 23, 2024.
The away match was played at Deepdale for a 3pm kick-off where 16,646 fans watched the action unfold.
Sam Greenwood fired Lilywhites ahead in the 23rd minute.
Jerry Yates equalised for Derby just six minutes later - his third goal in as many games - with a smooth free kick when he met Ben Osborn’s delivery from deep, nudged on by Eiran Cashin, with a diving header in the 29th minute.
Speaking to Rams TV after the match, Paul Warne said he was “really pleased” but he “wanted more”.
He added: “I don’t feel like it’s two-points drop, but it was a good opportunity.
“In the crucial moments, the final pass, the final cross, we probably weren’t as sharp as we needed to be to win.
“I thought in the second half we looked like the team to win. I made attacking subs… everything we could to try to win.
“I thought we looked pretty sound, unfortunately today wasn’t the day we did enough to win it.”
The two-goal action in the first half-hour mark at Deepdale, led ultimately to a draw.
The match was the Rams’ first since the final international break of the year.
The draw sees Derby gaffer Paul Warne’s side win five points from their last three games.
