Man lands on car bonnet and woman knocked down in calamitous Derbyshire floodwater collision
The incident occurred on Nottingham Road, Ilkeston.
A motorist driving through floodwater collided with a man who landed on the car bonnet.

A woman was soon after knocked over and could be seen struggling to get up as she battled the high floodwater.
Footage taken during Storm Babet was captured on October 21.
It shows a motorist making his way down Nottingham Road in Ilkeston, Derbyshire.
As the driver came closer to the flood, an unnamed man tried unsuccessfully to stop the car.

Whilst trying to stop the car, the man inadvertently landed on the car bonnet.
A person on the car bonnet was not enough to stop the motorist, who continued to drive the car.
The driver’s woes were not over, as he then knocked over a woman who fell into the high floodwater.

An eyewitness, who wished to remain anonymous, said: "[There was] a lot of screaming and ‘Oh My Gods’."
"I went outside as the floods were pretty bad and was on the scene for about 5 minutes before the incident happened.
"The Volvo driver pulled up to the barriers where the road was closed - unsure who closed it."
The man who appeared to be scooped up onto the car bonnet is thought to be a local resident.

He was reportedly trying to minimise flood damage to his home by trying to stop cars from making waves that could increase water levels in his property.
According to the eyewitness, both people - the man on the bonnet, and the woman who fell into floodwater - did not appear to have serious injuries.
They added: "Unsure if there were any injuries. The woman got up very wet and was walking around.
"When I got back to the scene after leaving about 30 minutes later she was walking around the road with a dressing gown on in dry clothes."
Despite passersby shouting to call the emergency services, the filmer said they saw neither an ambulance nor a police car turn up.
