It features a state-of-the-art vet practice and grooming salon, offering a one-stop destination for all of people’s pet care needs.

Spa-like treatments for furry four legged friends include full grooms, pamper sessions, puppy grooming, bath, brush and blow dry, and nail clipping.

For small animals, the store has a pet village designed to ensure they have plenty of room to play, hide, eat, and sleep.

There is also an aquatic centre with a range of fish and accessories.

For those wanting to pick the brains of experts, a team of specialist pet care advisors will be also on hand every day to support with free advice, including flea and worm subscriptions, weight checks and pet food consultations.

For new pet parents there will also be a coat and harness fitting service for dogs.

To give people an idea of grooming services, this good boy emerged ‘bouncy, fresh and soft’ from a grooming session offered at another Pets at Home branch in Kingston.

Vets for Pets Chesterfield, located on the mezzanine floor within the Pet Care Centre, is a locally-owned practice run by a team of four vets, advanced veterinary nurses and experienced client care advisors offering a range of veterinary healthcare services.

With the demand for veterinary care continuing to rise, the new practice has four spacious consultation rooms (one more than previously), a dedicated dental suite, and increased kennel capacity including large walk-in kennels for big dogs.

The practice also has an upgraded ultrasound machine and will provide higher quality digital dental radiography.
