TGI Fridays Derby officially closed: Derbion shopping centre confirms city restaurant closure
A total of 35 TGI Fridays restaurants have been closed
Derbion where Derby TGI Fridays restaurant is based, has officially confirmed closure of the restaurant today (Tuesday, October 8, 2024).

The Derby branch is one of 35 that closed around the UK, shuttering operations after TGI Fridays' UK owner Hostmore fell into administration owing to debt.
Managing Director of Derbion, Beth McDonald told DerbyWorld: “We’re sorry to hear that TGI Fridays has announced, as part of an administration rescue deal, the closure of 35 UK restaurants which unfortunately includes Derbion.
“TGI Fridays has a long history in Derby and our thoughts are with all the employees affected.
“We’re always working hard to refresh our retailer line-up with new and exciting brands to give our visitors the best possible experience.
“We are currently in discussions with a number of retailers and restaurants who are keen to have a space in our centre to complement recent new arrivals including B&M, White Stuff, Pavers and Castore.
“We look forward to announcing new names very soon.”
