Beloved 105-year-old Birds Bakery unveils swanky new look and store
It's a brave new world for Birds Bakery who has put a modern twist on its traditional logo
A beloved business across the East Midlands, which has been running for more than a century, has today revealed a new look.
Birds Bakery, unveiled its slick new logo on its social media channels this morning.
The new logo has seen a change of colour for the traditional bakery which now boasts a pretty "spring green" motif. The bakery says the new branding is "light, fresh and fun, like we are at heart".
The branding was previously a deep shade of red.

But the bakery owners have assured that a change of look doesn't mean a change in sentiment and the business will continue to operate under its core values - quality, freshness, local, family.
Posting on its Instagram channel this morning Birds Bakery wrote: "Today’s the day, swipe to see what’s new! "We started this journey a while back with the aim to shine the spotlight on who we are and what we do, focusing on what our ‘Fresh as a Daisy’ promise means. "Though our colours have changed, our ethos has remained the same across our 105 year history. "Through every generation of the Birds family, baking fresh is at the heart of everything we do. People and culture are at the forefront of our business; our bakers, butchers, chocolatiers and all those in between. "We can’t wait to show you more."

New store opening
Alongside the new look, the bakery has revealed it has opened a new store in Ashby de-la-Zouch just over the border in Leicestershire. It will be the first Birds Bakery store that boasts the new branding.
A sneak peek of the new store shared on the company's socials shows sleek and modern light fittings, Pinterest-worthy wood panelling and tiles boasting the new colour scheme.
The new look has amassed a great response from customers who praised its "modern feel" while maintaining its "authenticity, values and roots".
The new store in Ashby de-la-Zouch is now open.
