Beer lover's 'behemoth' bar crawl sees him visit 30 Derby pubs in one day

A local man has visited 30 Derby pubs in one day as part of his mission to visit all pubs in the UK.

Harvey Dale, along with his partner, both from The Great British Pub Crawl, have ambitious plans to enjoy a drink at ‘every single pub, bar, micropub, social club and anywhere else they serve beer across this great country.’

He visited Derby city centre on Friday, March 15, 2023, starting from Derby Train Station, into the city, then back again.

The proud Nottingham resident beat his old record of visiting 29 pubs in one day, which he accomplished in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. 

Writing on Facebook, Harvey said: ‘I headed out solo (to begin with) on the train to do a near perfect pub crawl route from Derby Train Station and back again.

‘I managed to beat my old record of 29 pubs done in a single day (in Mansfield) and hit a whopping 30 different places yesterday making Derby the new record holder!’

The beer enthusiast understood his assignment and documented his journey across the great city of Derby. 

They include the majority of the city’s greatest pubs - Derby is real ale city after all - so it was always going to be a corker of a list.
