The 31-strong list features two city eateries and acclaimed dining experiences across the region

The weather may feel a little blowy out there thanks to a chilly wind across Derby, however warmer days filled with sunshine are peeking around the corner.

When the weather feels more clement, we feel it makes us want to get out more and enjoy the sunshine.

Luckily for us Derbyshire is filled with fabulous eateries serving up award-winning dishes.

The region is host to 31 restaurants and pubs that hold highly regarded AA Rosettes.

Whether you're looking for a great restaurant near where you live, or for somewhere special to eat while you're on holiday, you're never far from an AA Rosette-rated restaurant.

What is an AA Rosette?

The Rosette is an award, not a classification.

Being awarded an AA Rosette is a way to stand out from the crowd and be recognised as an eatery serving quality food.

Rosettes are awarded on a rising scale based on a meal visit by one or more of the AA inspectors.

The Glenturret Lalique Restaurant, Crieff which was awarded 5 Rosettes at the AA Hospitality Awards 2024 said: “With so few restaurants in the UK achieving this top accolade, it’s a fantastic recognition for the team’s hard work and dedication.”

How do restaurants get AA Rosettes?

The AA Rosette award has been assessing culinary excellence since 1956.

There are 31 restaurants and pubs across Derbyshire that hold AA Rosettes.

Here’s the list which includes what an AA inspector thought about the eatery, along with location, covering full postal addresses in Derby city centre, spreading outwards county-wide into Derbyshire and the Peaks.
