It is a major coup for the eatery that opened just over a year ago on August 19, 2024.
Speaking to DerbyWorld, a restaurant spokesperson said: “We are absolutely thrilled to hear that Houseboat has been shortlisted for the Asian Restaurant & Takeaway Awards.
“It's a truly fantastic feeling to receive such recognition.
“This achievement is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and passion of our entire team.
“We are incredibly proud of everyone at Houseboat, and this shortlisting is a reflection of their commitment to delivering an exceptional dining experience to our valued customers.
“We look forward to the awards ceremony and are excited to see what the future holds.”
House Boat is up against three local restaurants, they are Shapla Spice in Ripley, Silchar Indian Dining in Hinckley, and Spice Lounge in Brackley.
The eatery continues to shine and flourish since opening in 2024.
It has added a versatile beer garden offering to the people of Derby, which also doubles up as a space where corporate events and birthday parties are held.
