Derbyshire patients have provided input to help rank their local doctors surgeries as part of the annual GP Patient Survey for NHS England.
The latest GP Patient Survey, produced by Ipsos on behalf of NHS England, gives insight into what people really think of GP reception teams across the country.
The 2025 survey, carried out in the first quarter of the year, was completed by more than 700,000 patients in England.
The survey uncovered patients’ experiences with the reception and administrative team at their GP practice.
Reception staff play a significant role in patient experience.
They are considered to be gate-keepers who allocate appointments by gleaning information and booking in patients with doctors accordingly.
The majority of patients described their GP reception team as ‘very helpful’ (42%) or ‘fairly helpful’ (41%).
Here we reveal the surgeries in Derbyshire where reception teams have been voted the best by you.
