With May half-term 2025 peeking around the corner, and Derby expecting to bask in double-digit temperatures, you may start wondering... where can I take the kids for a fun day out?
Luckily we live in a region packed with a diverse range of easily accessible ace spaces.
Here are some fabulous places where you can take the little ones for a day out in Derby, wider Derbyshire, and the Peak District.
City centre treasures include the ever fabulous Pickford’s House, it has an excellent Dracula exhibition on at the moment.
Perhaps you’re raising a family of foodies, in which case treat your little ones (adults can totally indulge too) to the ice cream parlour at Bluebell Dairy.

1. Heights of Abraham, Matlock Bath

3. Dovedale, Thorpe Cloud
