It gained notoriety when a human skull was unearthed beneath it in 1994, leading to frequent reports of poltergeist activity.

The pub is said to be haunted by a Victorian lady and features numerous accounts of glasses moving on their own.

Just a minute’s walk from Derby Cathedral, the pub is a popular location for Saturday nights out on the town.
