Based on Saracens Court in Brailsford, Ashbourne, the coffee house has been open since 2014, serving breakfast, brunch and afternoon tea.

She wrote in the post: ‘After an incredible eight years in Brailsford, it’s with a heavy heart that I share Buttermilk will be closing its doors at the end of January 2025.

‘This was not an easy decision to make, but after welcoming my son in 2023, I’ve realised that I need a better work-life balance to truly cherish these precious years while he’s still young.

‘My little family is my priority, and I want to make the most of every moment with them.

‘Over the coming weeks, this account [@buttermilkcoffeehouse] will transition to my new business, Lilac Lane Cake & Dessert. If you’d like to stay connected, I’ll be continuing my cake orders and desserts, and I’d love for you to follow along!’
