From a day-time disco, to shopping artisan markets and sampling some delicious food and drink, Derby is the place this bank holiday weekend

A three-day bank holiday weekend is on the horizon which means firstly, you’ll be hoping for the sun to come out.

Secondly you’ll probably be searching online for things to do in Derby as you start planning how to make the most of the long weekend and much deserved time off.

How about a drumming masterclass with Matt Green on Sunday at the Bridge Street location that is just a 10-minute walk from Derby city centre? 

If you’re keen on updating your summer wardrobe then some retail therapy at a spring market on Sadler Gate could be just the ticket.

In addition to numerous traders selling artisan gifts, the ace guys at 1NE.Derby are also holding a Yard Sale. 

BOA, a tapas and cocktail bar in Derby will be offering food samples so you can shop and explore new foods as you go.
