A trailblazing musician performing a stunning mix of blues, rock and roll, and jazz originals is preparing for an electrifying performance in the city next month.

Thomas Heppell is Blues Artist Of The Year nominee.

His unique blend of genres with sophisticated jazz has won him fans across the country.

He has played at several Derbyshire venues including Melbourne Hall as a solo musician where he supported Anton du Beke in 2022.

The upcoming March event is his first in the city where he will take the stage, along with his band, at Derby’s popular jazz bar, The Hound Dog on Friar Gate.

Whether Thomas is performing a solo number, or is part of his dynamic three-piece ensemble, his growing body of work has earned him the respect of industry insiders and fellow musicians alike.

His EP Be My Home not only received airwaves love from Jazz FM and Blues Radio UK but also secured him nominations at the UK Blues Awards 2023. 

With nods for Best Young, Emerging, and Acoustic Blues Artist, Thomas is a force to be reckoned with in the British Blues panorama.

His song Done To Me was recently broadcast on BBC Radio and his performance in Derby is set to be a highlight for music fans.
